Processes & Procedures

Safe Worship Spaces

We are dedicated to ensuring that our worship spaces are secure and comfortable for all attendees. This includes:

  • Regular Maintenance: Routine inspections and maintenance of our facilities to address any potential hazards.
  • Emergency Exits: Clearly marked and easily accessible emergency exits in all our spaces.
  • First Aid Stations: First aid kits and automated external defibrillators (AEDs) available on-site.
Child & Youth Protection

The safety of our children and youth is a top priority. Every volunteer 18 and older is required to pass a background check and complete Safe Sanctuaries Training before they’re approved to serve children and youth at Noblesville First. All volunteers under 18 are always accompanied by an adult. Watch te video here.

Safe Sanctuaries is an overt expression in making congregations within the United Methodist Church safe places where children, youth, and vulnerable adults may experience the abiding love of God and fellowship within the community of faith. We're doing everything in our power to keep our most precious assets safe while they are at Noblesville First. After viewing the video, you must complete the Safe Sanctuaries virtual quiz and then sign the Safe Sanctuaries document with the Director of Family Ministries present. Take the quiz.

Emergency Preparedness

Being prepared for emergencies is crucial. Our measures include:

  • Emergency Plans: Detailed emergency response plans for a variety of situations, such as fire, severe weather, or medical emergencies.
  • Drills: Regular emergency drills to ensure everyone knows what to do in case of an emergency.
  • Security Personnel: Trained security personnel present during services and events.
Inclusivity & Respect

Creating an inclusive and respectful environment is essential for safety:

  • Non-Discrimination Policy: Zero tolerance for discrimination or harassment of any kind.
  • Inclusive Programs: Programs and services designed to meet the diverse needs of our community.
  • Conflict Resolution: Clear procedures for addressing and resolving conflicts in a fair and respectful manner.
