Faith @ First - July 4, 2025
What’s your favorite part of the Fourth of July?
Maybe it’s the backyard BBQs, where plates are stacked high. Or the parades downtown—kids waving flags, bands marching and those red, white, and blue popsicles melting faster than you can eat them.
For me, it’s always been the fireworks.
There’s something awe-inspiring about the moment the sky erupts in color—one brilliant burst after another, echoing the “rocket’s red glare” that marked the birth of our nation. Each explosion reminds us that freedom is worth celebrating.
But as followers of Jesus, we celebrate an even greater freedom. We’ve been set free by the One who conquered sin, fear, and death itself.
That’s the message I’ll be preaching this Sunday—“Free, Indeed”—a call to live in the deep, soul-freeing liberty that only Jesus gives. And just like those fireworks, our faith was never meant to be hidden. It was made to shine—lighting up the darkness and pointing others to the God who loves.
So, let’s celebrate that freedom together. Join us for Faith & Fireworks this Friday night at Forest Park. Let us know you are coming HERE. It’s going to be a joyful night to laugh, reflect, and enjoy the show as a church family. Register today so we can send you all the details on where to meet up!
And don’t forget to keep an eye on your email and church socials for updates about Sunday service at Teter. In case of rain, worship may move indoors to the sanctuary. But rain or shine—we will gather to worship our faithful God, the One who makes us truly free.
Keep the Faith @ First,
