One of my favorite scriptures is Psalm 30:5 — “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” There is something deeply comforting about knowing that sorrow doesn’t have the final word. And nothing embodies the truth of that verse more than the Easter story. It’s the story of a God who faced betrayal, suffering, sin, and death — and conquered them all. It’s the story of a risen Savior who brings us the joy of everlasting life.

This Sunday, I hope you’ll join us for Easter morning worship and if you haven’t already please register here for one of our three services. Come experience that joy with us. Come and see what resurrection hope looks like when a community gathers to celebrate the triumph of life over death. But before we get to that joyful morning, we must make space for the night.

Tonight, we’ll experience a Good Friday service unlike any we’ve had before. We won’t gather in the sanctuary. We won’t be robed. Instead, we’ll sit shoulder to shoulder around a piano, surrounded by candlelight, all of us on the same level — sinners in need of grace. We’ll reflect, grieve, and remember the immense sacrifice Jesus made for us. It will be sacred, intimate, and honest.

Speaking of grace, our hearts and ministry have been strengthened by the faithful leadership of Shari Young. Shari has served as our Events Coordinator, and we’re thrilled to share that she’s expanding her role to Family Ministry and Events Coordinator. She brings passion and purpose to nurturing young hearts in faith. She’s eager to help shape a discipleship pathway for our families — one that leads all of us to the joy of the resurrection.

We can’t wait to welcome you this weekend. There’s joy waiting for us in the morning.

Keep the faith @ first,
Pastor Nicole
