Dear Noblesville First Family,
Wednesday has become my favorite day of the week. On Wednesdays, I join with other members of our church volunteering in the after school program at White River Elementary. In September, the school social worker paired us with a student and every week we gather to play games, make crafts, or share stories.

When I couldn’t make it the Wednesday before fall break, I heard that my mentee cried. Her tears touched my heart deeply, reminding me of the attachment we’ve built—one formed not just through time spent together but through trust, care, and love.

The other volunteer she worked with that day gave her the gift of space—a space to feel what she was feeling without judgment or rush. This sacred allowance mirrors the spirit of All Saints’ Day this Sunday, when we honor those we’ve loved and lost by creating space to mourn.

All Saints’ Day reminds us that our relationships leave deep imprints, and even when apart, we carry each other’s presence with us, held tenderly in the spaces where love dwells.

As we celebrate their legacies, we also consider the legacy we want others to inherit from us as we submit our pledge cards to support the ministry of our church in 2025. I pray that you will thoughtfully consider God‘s call to generosity and how your gifts will impact the next generation of believers.

The good news is my mentee’s tears have dried, and this Wednesday we created clay superheroes! I pray that, as we gather, we too, may help to dry tears as we worship the one who is the source of our strength. And be sure to set your clocks as daylight saving time ends, and I’ll see you Sunday.

Keep the Faith@First,
Pastor Nicole
