Faith@First - November 22, 2024
Dear Noblesville First Family,
This week we’ve had summer, fall and now winter! Depending on the day, I’ve worn sandals and a sleeveless shirt or boots and a turtleneck! Indiana weather is all over the place, but life can be like that too. We can have seasons where there are incredible joys one day, surprising blessings another and then an unexpected loss. And if that weren’t confusing enough, these different experiences can even happen at the same time.
That’s why we’ve spent the last month worshiping around the theme of grief and gratitude. Because our life journeys, like our weather, can suddenly change. Yet one thing that never changes is the faithfulness of our God. God’s enduring presence is with us in the rain, the sleet, or the sunshine. And it doesn’t matter what the forecast will be in the future. God promises to always be with us, no matter where we are.
When we recall this truth, it compels us to respond with praise and thanksgiving. And while it may not change the weather, it changes us within. My grandfather used to say it this way, “No matter how difficult things may get, I just can’t help but praise God!” This theme of praise and gratitude as a response to God’s goodness will be at the heart of our worship this Sunday. We hope you’ll come in boots or sandals and that you’ll bring donations to our Thanksgiving food drive. Click here to view the wish list. As we praise God for being faithful to us in every season, we hope to be faithful to God’s call to bless others.
We also want to express our gratitude to those who have already pledged to our 2025 ministry budget. Thank You! Your faithful investment empowers us to continue being the hands and feet of Christ in the world, no matter the weather. You can join us in this work by pledging at noblesvillefirst.com/give.
In the meantime time stay warm and keep the Faith@First,
Pastor Nicole
