What will I/my student learn in youth ministry?

At Noblesville First, we believe in nurturing the spiritual and personal growth of our youth through inclusive, compassionate, and engaging programs. Core Values and Ethics
  • Compassion and Kindness: Through stories, activities, and community service, students learn the importance of being kind, compassionate, and helpful to others.
  • Justice and Equality: We teach our youth about social justice, fairness, and the importance of standing up for what is right, encouraging them to be advocates for positive change.
Personal Growth and Development
  • Self-Awareness: Activities are designed to help youth understand themselves better, fostering self-esteem, confidence, and emotional intelligence.
  • Critical Thinking: Students are encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and explore their beliefs in a safe and supportive environment.
Community and Connection
  • Building Friendships: Our programs emphasize the importance of friendship and community, helping students build strong, supportive relationships with their peers.
  • Active Participation: Students are invited to participate in various church activities and events, allowing them to feel a sense of belonging and contributing to the community.
Inclusive Faith Formation
  • Open-Minded Spirituality: Students will explore diverse religious traditions and spiritual practices, fostering an open-minded approach to faith and spirituality.
  • Interfaith Understanding: By learning about different faiths, kids develop respect and understanding for various beliefs, promoting a culture of inclusivity and empathy.

Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where students can grow spiritually, morally, and personally, while feeling valued and loved just as they are.

Are volunteers background checked?

We prioritize the safety of our children. Every volunteer 18 and older is required to pass a background check and complete Safe Sanctuaries Training before they’re approved to serve children and youth at Noblesville First. Volunteers under 18 are always accompanied by an adult.

Safe Sanctuaries Training

Safe Sanctuaries is an overt expression in making congregations within the United Methodist Church safe places where children, youth, and vulnerable adults may experience the abiding love of God and fellowship within the community of faith. We're doing everything in our power to keep our most precious assets safe while they are at Noblesville First.

After viewing the video, you must complete the Safe Sanctuaries virtual quiz and then sign the Safe Sanctuaries document with the Director of Family Ministries present.
