Series: Faith & Football
September 14, 2025 | Guest Pastor
Guest Preacher Rev. Dr. Jevon Caldwell-Gross will bring a powerful message rooted in Paul’s words from 2 Corinthians 4:9: “Struck down, but not destroyed.” Our setbacks are real, but they don’t get the final say. With Christ, there is always more grace, more strength, and more possibility—if we keep showing up. No matter what field you’re on today, don’t quit. Keep playing. You may be down, but you’re not out.

That’s the hope and challenge of discipleship. Following Jesus is not about having all the answers or checking off a spiritual to-do list. It’s about staying open—open to new lessons, fresh insights, and unexpected encounters with God’s presence. Just as a football team keeps practicing, adapting, and striving for improvement, we too are called to keep pressing forward in our walk of faith.
Maybe you’re in a stage of life that feels settled or predictable. Maybe you think you’ve seen it all or learned it all. But what if God still has more to show you? What if there’s a new skill to practice, a new perspective to gain, or a new playbook for your spiritual growth? So, here’s the question: how can you remain open to learning something new from God this season?
