Series: Epic Meltdowns: Learning from Life’s Breaking Points
February 23, 2025 | Rev. Brittney Stephan
Grace offers us a way forward, and we see this truth beautifully reflected in Scripture. Peter, one of Jesus’ closest disciples, denied even knowing Jesus three times—an act that must have left him heavy with regret. Yet, Jesus didn’t leave Peter in his failure. After the resurrection, Jesus met Peter by the sea and gave him a new purpose, calling him to move forward rather than dwell on the past. I too reflect on my own regrets—moments I wish I could change or words I wish I could take back. But through it all, I’ve seen how God meets us in our brokenness, offering opportunities for growth, learning, and transformation. Regret doesn't have to define us; God's grace is greater than our past, and redemption is always within reach.
