Wonder to Wander

Series: Wonder

December 28, 2025 | Pastor Mary Eileen Spence

The story of the three wise men is a journey that begins in wonder and leads to faithful wandering. Drawn by a mysterious star, the Magi leave certainty behind and step into a long, unknown road—trusting that God is at work even when the destination isn’t clear. Wonder to Wander invites us to explore how holy curiosity can move us from standing still to stepping out, discovering that God often meets us not when everything is mapped out, but while we are bravely on the way.

Series Information

Advent always begins with a sense of holy anticipation, a stirring in our spirits that God is near, God is moving, and God is doing something new. Advent invites us into Wonder: not the kind that requires answers, but the kind that opens our hearts to possibility, curiosity, and awe. As we head into Advent, may we pause long enough to notice the signs of God’s presence in our own lives: the unexpected encouragement, the moment of quiet joy, the relationships that give us strength. May we receive the invitation to watch, to listen, and to marvel.
