Led Into Righteousness

Series: Led By The Spirit

March 30, 2025 | Rev. Nicole Caldwell-Gross

This sermon dives into Matthew 21:12-15, where Jesus cleanses the temple, calling us into a life of righteousness through His authority and transformative presence. Yet, as we walk with Him, we often find that life’s trials—grief, disillusionment, and struggles—can make us feel distant from God, as if the heavens are silent and the mountains insurmountable. But in these moments of doubt and pain, we are reminded that God is with us, whether we’re on the mountaintop or in the valley. Faith is not always an easy ascent; sometimes it’s crawling through anger, bitterness, and questions. Whether we come rejoicing or weary, full of faith or doubt, God remains faithful and meets us where we are. This Sunday, we invite you to take one step closer to God, knowing His presence leads us into righteousness, no matter where we are on our journey.

Series Information

Step into a time of renewal and restoration. Through the rich heritage of the Spirituals, we will encounter the deep well of faith, resilience, and hope that has carried generations through the wilderness and into God’s promise of resurrection. Join us for Sunday worship, where our messages and music will be amplified by our Chancel choir, musicians and dynamic guest preachers: Rev. Dr. Cynthia Wilson, (March 9) renowned gospel artist, former dean at Garrett Theological Seminary, and Director of the Junius B. Dotson Institute for Music and Worship and Rev. Lan Wilson (March 16), vocalist, worship leader and Associate Director of Mission & Justice for the Indiana Conference of the UMC. Each service will invite us to be refreshed and restored by the Spirit’s presence.
